Established
in 1962, and under current ownership since 1976, our construction
business specialises in medium sized commercial and domestic
projects from £100,000 to £2 million –
both refurbishment and new-build. We are also appointed
support contractors to major companies. Wood Brothers
joinery offers a complete in-house traditional or contemporary
joinery and finishing service, from full technical design
through to supply only or supply and fix.
Over the years we have been involved in projects as diverse
as Disneyland Resort Paris (the Town Square) through to
being the carpentry contractor for the rebuilding of Uppark
House – a National Trust property – where
we rebuilt the roof and floors in a completely traditional
manner, using over 160 tonnes of fresh-sawn oak. We also
built Animed Veterinary Hospital, one of the largest purpose
built equine and small animal hospitals in the UK. The
common thread throughout all our work lies in our ability
to commit to, and successfully organise, projects. Today
this includes extensive use of programmed planning, and
direct contact with our customers. Our activities are
limited in number to ensure that a director of Wood Brothers
always has an interest in, as well as responsibility for,
a project.
We work in all areas of England and South Wales, and we
have an established presence in London. By containing
our activity and never over-stretching ourselves, we take
pride in our ability to provide a high level of technical
expertise, a committed workforce and a hands-on approach. |
